When you sign up for classes with Safety First Boating School, you'll learn from one of our USCG-licensed captains. Safety First Boating School is certified by the New Jersey State Police Marine Bureau of Law Enforcement.

In business since 1998, Safety First Boating is South Jersey's largest private boating school, running more than 30 state-approved classes per season. Our courses are listed with the Boat U.S. Foundation.

Safety First Boating School's chief instructor, Lew Donovan, is a USCG-certified, licensed captain with 40 years boating experience.

In addition to our classes at convenient South Jersey locations, we can come out to your dock or marina to train you on your own vessel.

Our experienced captains also provide piloting services for your Chesapeake yacht cruise.
