Think you can pass the New Jersey test without
taking a boating safety course? From now through June 1, 2008, your
experience may qualify you to earn a boating safety certificate
just by successfully taking the test.
Requirements: You must have at least 100 hours of power-vessel
operating experience and you must have been born before 1979. If so,
you may take an approved boating-safety exam to earn your
certificate without completing a
class.
But you can only attempt to pass the test once. If
you pass, you'll be issued a certificate. If you're unsuccessful,
you must complete an approved boating safety course and then pass an
exam during the class to get your certificate. Call (856)
863-2250 or click here to register for the test.
